Rescuties introduces our "litter patrol" program to try to keep kittens out of the pound and being killed and to increase the number of spayed owned cats.
The program works like this:
The owner of a mom cat and her kittens turns over the mom cat and kittens to Rescuties. Rescuties will have the mom cat spayed and a rabies shot administered at our expense. She will remain in the care of the vet for the night and be returned to the owner the next day. The owner must promise to never surrender her to any kill facility. If at any time the owner decides that he or she can no longer care for the mom cat, she can be rehomed by the owner, placed in another no-kill shelter or rescue, or surrendered to Rescuties.
Rescuties will keep and place the kittens through our adoption program.
The kittens must be of weanable age (approximately 8 weeks) for inclusion into this program.
If you are interested in placing some kittens or fostering, please email rescuties@gmail.com
This program is limited by available funds and by foster space. We always need fosters to save animal lives! Fosters are provided with medical care for the cats and we help with food and litter when we are able to.
