Volunteer with Rescueties!

JimmyscatsWould you like to volunteer for an organization where you feel your work is truly valued? Where your opinions are listened to? Where people want to lift others up and not run them down? Where you’re part of a family working towards a common goal? Well, Rescuties might be for you!

What can be more rewarding then interacting with animals and receiving their unconditional love? You contribution of time and talent can help save precious lives!

Whether you would like to open your home to an animal in need or if you just have a couple of hours of spare time every other day or weekend, WE NEED YOU! We have many volunteer opportunities to suit many different lifestyles, skills and interests!

You can make all the difference to a cat that needs your help!

VOLUNTEER QUALIFICATIONS:

You must be reliable, have a basic understanding of Rescuties’s mission and goals, have good people skills, be flexible, and a have a great sense of humor. We believe volunteering can be fun and rewarding for all concerned!

We allow teens to volunteer and kids can volunteer as well, with parental supervision.

We offer our volunteers (with at least 10 hours of volunteer work per month as well as participation in one fundraising event per month) the opportunity to attend our Board Meetings and have input.

We are committed to creating a respectful low stress environment where volunteers feel appreciated and valued.

We have virtual opportunities that can be done from any location in the country or in the world!

We need the following:

FOSTER HOMES

This is always our most critical need. In order to carry out our mission and save animals, we need foster parents to provide a safe, loving home for a kitty until a permanent, adoptive home is found. Rescuties can provide **food, supplies, approved veterinary care, and other support for the foster kitty. Each new foster home enables us to save another kitty. We appreciate the love, time and commitment you make to the kitties that you foster. You’ll earn the satisfaction that you’ve helped save a life. We feel your time is enough contribution and don’t demand that you pour lots of your personal money into your foster kitties as well!
Therefore, we pay all medical bills for your foster cat. We have arrangements with vets to bill us directly, so you do not need to worry about filing with us for reimbursement.

**We are a new rescue and not able to make the commitment as of yet to provide you with 100% of needed food and litter; however, we will share with our fosters any food and litter donations that we receive.

Sample Activities:

  • Take care of your foster kitty and provide socialization and healthy practices
